Having big boobs sort of puts a damper on my life...

While I'm sure I'll get no argument from my husband, or any other man about my nice, er, rack, I have to say that these tata's of mine have seriously gotten in the way of me doing anything that requires me to be active. Sure, if I actually knew how to swim and I were trapped in a pool or other body of water, they could be used as inflatables and keep me afloat, but there are other times when they do more harm than good. I've listed a few of those times below.

1. Running is out of the question. When I was younger, and not as busty, I used to love racing and running. With my long legs, I was sure I could blow anybody away during a race. But then I walked into a room one day and found myself staring at my chest in the mirror. It's like someone took an air pump and blew life into my flat chest one night while I was asleep, and when I woke up, I had a more than ample chest. Attempting to run after that was putting myself at risk for getting whiplash.

2. The same thing applies to jumping rope. As a little girl, nothing was more fun than getting out on the front porch with my cousins and doing the jump rope games. Hell, who am I kidding? We did jump rope games well into our Jr. High school years. Well, not me. Because I was well endowed, jumping rope quickly became out of the question. Slapping myself in the face with my boobs is not exactly fun. I'll always have the memories, I guess.

3.  Sexy time activities become a little more challenging. Like, me being on top could be detrimental to my man's life..IJS!!!

4. There is a good reason why I don't exercise as much...my boobs make it really hard to do an actual sit up or push up, and especially, those toe touch thingies...

5. Here in Arkansas, we have really hot and humid summers and people try to wear as less clothes as possible. But anytime I wear a tank top in public, I always get the feeling people are looking at me like this...

6.  My cleavage eats more food than I do. Seriously, sometimes I feel like I should start carrying a bib in my purse. Seeing as how they usually end up propped up on the table, IDK what else to do.

7.  Lying on my back in bed feels like I'm suffocating..

8.  Not only is it difficult trying to see our toes, let alone touch them...

9.  Because just like men have to adjust their junk sometimes, we have to adjust the girls in an effort to be comfortable. Unfortunately, busty chicks end up looking like this...

Yes, I'm learning to embrace my blessings from God, but some blessings have proven to be a curse in disguise.

#BustyGirlPerks

In honor of  #MemeMonday and because we can all use a little Monday humor, I've decided to share some of the funniest one's I've come across regarding the perks of being a busty girl...because you know, sometimes our bosom comes in handy, and not just for getting out of a speeding ticket.

All of these are pretty spot on...

There is literally nothing like lifting your shirt and letting the cool breeze
take you away for a few minutes

I have so done this..

We're going to get through this together...

The only time I can go out without a bra and people don't stare at me
like I'm a circus freak...
My cleavage has been my cell phone holder many times while I'm
walking around the track

YES!!!! My hands are free to eat while I'm reading..

Everyday Bras for Busty/Plus Size Women

Ladies, when it comes to bras, us full-figured gals know how hard it is to go into any department store and find one that offers both comfort and support without paying damn near $40.00 for one. I've pretty much given up on the hopes of being able to find bras that are my size in Wal-mart, and have started looking elsewhere, such as online. If I have to pay that much for a bra, I might as well get a good one, right?

Below are some good ones that I've come across so far.

Ashley Stewart Convertible Butterfly Bra

I rarely go anywhere that requires me to wear a strapless bra, nor do I own anything that requires a strapless bra, because of the fear that my top/dress will slip down, and I'll show all my goodies to the world. But if you find yourself needing a strapless bra, this is a good one. It can be worn six different ways and offers double back wrap panels for extra support and smoothes that dreaded back fat. It has detachable straps, so you can wear it strapless if you need to, and it's only $27.60 online. Can't beat that.

Goddess Lace Longline Bra

The Goddess Lace Longline Bra GD0689 has 3-part underwire cups for shape and support. Boning in cups and body defines and enhances your silhouette. Goddess's Lace Longline Bra is made of floral non-stretch lace for a beautiful look. I ordered this bra back in 2011 when I got married. It was $59.00 online, but definitely worth it. It held the girls up nicely and was actually very comfortable.
(I'm wearing it in the pics below)

Racer Back Sport Bra

This Lane Bryant bra is good for working out. The Racer back sport bra features adjustable sides to ensure a perfect fit for your active lifestyle. Designed with double-layer, moisture-wicking fabric, it’s workout-ready with enough comfort to wear any time. So you won't have to worry about your breasts spilling over the top, of falling out altogether. There is also an underwire version of this bra, but personally, I find underwire bras very uncomfortable.

The Genie Bra

I saw these bras on a late night informercial and thought, they probably don't have them in my size. Luckily,  I was in Walmart one day and came across these. I grabbed the biggest size they had on the shelf (a 3X) and decided that for $20.00, oh my bad, $19.99, I'd give them a shot.
I won't say they offer lot's of support, especially for a women with large breasts, but they are extremely comfortable to wear around the house, or a quick trip to the grocery store when you know you'll be in and out. The bras hugs your curves and look smooth underneath your shirts. I'm wearing one in the pics below. I even sleep in them. For a comfortable everyday bra, this is a good one to have.

I have a lot to hold up and the removable pads have long since torn up, but it's still comfortable

Just My Size Gel Cushion
Wirefree Bra

For a functional, everyday day that is comfortable, lifts, and supports the breast, try the JMS wireless bra. The best part are the wide, gel-cushioned straps that ease shoulder pressure. I despise bra straps digging into my shoulders, leaving ugly dark indentions on my skin. They improve your shape and the straps are adjustable in the back. Sizes range from B cup, to DDD cups and they are $13.99 online.

Ashley Stewart T-shirt Bra

Sometimes, we want to be sexy too and the plain old black or white bras get boring. Add some color to your bra selection with this sexy t-shirt bra. It's lightly padded molded cups for smooth shaping with no show-through. Restores natural shape with contour underwire cups that provide lift and support. Perfect under lightweight clothing. Sizes range from 38D to 46DDD and are $19.60 online at the time of posting.

Busty Girls...The Struggle (Video)

I came across this video on BuzzFeed and laughed so hard. Finally, someone get us.

Pros & Cons of Breast Reduction Surgery

If you're a woman with large natural breasts, then you know that while men love them, and many women spend thousands of dollars trying to get them, it's not really all that great. The back problems, the struggle to find a decent fitting bra, the boob sweat....it can get to be pretty annoying. I can't count how many times I've wished I had enough coins to get them taken down a size or two. But before you go under the knife, there are some things to consider.

Click the link below to read up on the pros and cons of getting breast reduction surgery.

#BustyGirlProblems

My Current Situation...

Where all my top heavy chicks at....

So, I finally got around to starting this blog that's been on my mind for a while now. Well, before I get into that, I guess I should say who I am. I am a busty chick named Joyce. I am a published author, who writes under the pen name, J.L. Sapphire. This is my second blog, my first one is Random Thoughts of A Virgo (when I say random, I really mean that) I am a homebody who loves reading and writing, I have 2 beautiful kids and a husband (might as well say I have 3 kids, huh)

Okay, now that you know who I am. I left out one detail. I am a BBC (big breasted chick) and my breasts have been my arch-nemesis' for a looonnnnggg time. I have often fantasized what it would be like to have normal sized breasts. While I thank God for all he has given me, He was just a little too generous when he got to my cleavage area. Anyway, I was scrolling down my Facebook timeline last night, and came across this meme that had me tickled for about ten minutes. (see meme below)

Funny, right? If you're not a busty girl, it may not be to you. Not only was true and funny, it let me know that there are other women out there who have been blessed (the jury is still out on that) with big boobs..and it ain't always fun or cute. So, I decided to start this blog so that I can come here an vent whenever I fee like it, because sometimes what I want to say may be a little too much for Facebook.

I welcome any and all comments relating to this subject matter, but I ain't going for anything disrespectful, from men or women. I'm sure we won't get many negative comments from men anyway, but some women (specifically those not naturally blessed in the chest) like to look down their noses at gals like me..and by gals like me, I mean one who is carrying natural 42DDD's (yes my back be hurting like a mofo)

I never understood any woman wanting to get silicone injected in them, because let me tell you, it ain't all it's cracked up to be. I have spent the better part of 20 years carrying around this baggage, and there have been some times when I've been so embarrassed and felt so down about myself. But, I finally realized that until I win the lottery and get up enough money for a breast reduction, they're not going anywhere, so I might as well embrace them (my husband certainly does).

I'm dropping a couple of pics of myself below, as a way to show my 'girls' once and for all that I give up...y'all win. I have spent many years of my life trying to find creative ways to hide them...or at least make them appear smaller, but you can't exactly hide triple D's. So, I might as well let y'all breathe a little and show them off.

Me in Memphis for my birthday..my boobies were extra big in this pic..and it was that time of the month

At an event a few years ago...IDK what made me wear polkadot...
Another pic...they look bigger with me sitting down

At my first book signing...I love how my boobs are all in the way

This is what I carry around on a daily basis...

So, these are just a few pics of me and the girls. The last time I had a bra fitting was in 2009 when I worked at JC Penney for a while and I went over to the lingerie section and had them measured. A lot could have changed in five years. I've gotten fatter, so I know they have grown in size as well, but I don't even wanna know what size they are now.
